I made a booboo. I forgot to charge the cam's batteries. I only got to take three photos with it. Hindi tuloy maganda quality ng pics.

Other pics were grabbed from Ninna Juan. Thanks!

The night was fun.^_^ Galing talaga ni Julie! (at ni Jose... at ni Joaquin...)

There were a few known people... LJ Moreno, Paolo Valenciano, Bianca King... and a lot of familiar faces. Most of the guests made me wonder where I saw them before.

Happy Birthday, Julianne!^_^

while my brother and sister watched Switchfoot, i watched Julianne. i was supposed to pick them up from Cuneta Astrodome but they finished early so my mom got them instead. it was a fun night. glad i stayed.

June 15, 2007.

i watched Julianne with the whole family. including Euske. he had fun kahit na antok na. hehe. i was supposed to take a picture of Euske with Julianne but she was busy. there's always a next time.

it was a fun gig. the band was playing around with their music. galing nila lahat. singer, drummer, percussionist, flutician (accdg to Julie. pero parang gusto ko pa rin Flutist. haha.), bassist, lead. haha. lahat na! galing talaga! i do hope tumagal pa sila sa industry. iba kasi music nila eh.

i used my mom's Kodak digicam again. hirap ng walang sariling cam. kakainggit yung mga may dalang digi-SLR na ubod ng laki ng lens. huhuhu. i'm gonna have one of those! i just have to. haha.

May 31, 2007, Thursday.

watched a movie with Irene at The Block, met up with Kris at Watson's, passed by my store at SM, was about to go to Coffeebean at TriNoma when i saw Julianne as one of the performers for the evening, drank coffee at Coffeebean, watched Julianne perform, met up with my sister and got back stage passes.

pasensya na, at sira na po ang digicam ng kapatid ko. kakabagsak. T_T buti na lang yung pics sa back stage matino. at sorry late na napost. may topak talaga net ko.

Kris texted me yesterday. she wanted to meet up with the girls. so i told her my only available time was today, May 31. we decided to meet at Coffeebean-Morato to have a little chitchat. we ended up meeting at The Block because she mentioned that Irene was gonna watch the Piolo Pascual movie. i offered that we accompany Irene. turns out, only Irene and I got to watch. Kris couldn't make it in time.

after the movie, we ate at KFC and met Kris at Watson's. we passed by my newly painted, still closed store to see what shade of purple my mom and sister chose. I was stuck in Bulacan due to coding so they went out and bought the vinyl tiles and purple paint without me. then we walked all the way to Trinoma to buy me a large The Ultimate Half-Mocha Half-Vanilla Ice Blended. whoopie!

as we passed by the Trinoma Atrium on the way to Coffeebean at around 5pm, i noticed a couple of chairs prepared for a show. Irene started reading the list of artists who were going to perform. Kris asked if Bamboo was there, then I read the list myself. "Julianne!" I shrieked. both of them asked, "Sino yun?" then I sang Tulak ng Bibig. Kris recognized the song, Irene didn't. so I texted my sister, dad and boyfriend. my sister immediately replied. she wanted to go to Trinoma after her class, and she arrived after two hours. she got a little lost. she didn't know where to go. it was her first time there, so was I. she was able to watch Julianne sing her last three songs. good thing! by this time, Niño (the Flutist. haha.), already saw me. kinawayan ko ba naman ng todo, hindi pa ba ko mapapansin non? haha. after the gig, Niño invited us to go back stage. all four of us. we took pictures and i chatted with Julie and Niño. Nina, the soul siren, happened to be there. so we also took pictures with her.

it was a fun experience. and totally unexpected. i noticed the stares of the audience when we walked in and out of the covered back stage. an afternoon of chitchat that turned into a meeting with the stars.^_^

p.s. i'll upload pics soon. once i figure out what's wrong with my usb port. it can't read my phone through the data cable.

i took more videos rather than pictures. since mahirap naman makita mukha niya through the spotlight. fun, fun, uber fun! small world, too.

just got home from Serendra. i watched Julianne's gig at Bonifacio High Street. my sister, Amanda, and I got there really early, at around 7pm. 'cause the news said it would start at 7pm. we were sitting in front when the announcer said that it would start by 8:30pm. so we decided to eat first. the initial plan was to buy food from Jollibee at Market!, then eat it at High Street. but on our way to Market!, our cousin Ailene, called Amanda. we met Ailene at Market!, and she said that since it's seldom that we get to meet out, we might as well eat in a decent place. we decided to eat at Gerry's Grill. libre niya! yey! (ang sarap ng Beef Casserole doon. you should try it.)

when we got back, there were people waiting for the gig to start. i approached Julianne, expecting she wouldn't remember me. but as soon as i introduced myself, her face lit up and she started reminiscing our playing-in-the-garden-when-we-were-kids days. i forgot about this, but she told me about a book i had that we used to play with. it had buttons that made sound effects. well... those kinds of books. i know i had books like those, but i can't recall playing it with her. i have a hard time remembering things, you see. and yes! Julianne, the new soul artist, was MY childhood playmate. our fathers were in a christian band/worship team that toured the Philippines for a mission trip. they were called The Living Psalms, i believe. it's really surreal that i know her, and she's popular. she has an album! and people love her. there was this guy in the audience, who took a lot of pictures of her. and nakatulala lang siya forever kay Julianne. grabe. haha.

i even saw a familiar face. Julianne's Flute Guy, Niño or "Fluffy" as she fondly calls him. i knew he looked familiar. couldn't recall where i first saw him until the middle of the show. when i approached him after the gig, he waved his hand and said "Hi!" i replied with, "did you go to Women's?" he said, "yes." then added, "nakita nga kita kanina. iniisip ko kung naaalala mo pa ko. kaya nga panay ngiti ko sayo. tapos naisip ko 'ay hindi ako naaalala nito.' binasa ko pa nga bibig mo eh, sabi mo 'kilala ko siya eh, pero hindi ko maalala kung saan.'" then he laughed. haha. funny. he was a friend of my classmate back in High School, we we're introduced and saw each other in the Quadrangle a few times. he was a College Student then. it surprises me that he still remembers me. that was six years ago, if i remember correctly. what's more surprising is that he's actually a part of Julianne's band. my childhood playmate. hahaha. to top if off, Ailene saw Niño before. in other gigs. he was like the Flute Guy of every band that needs a flute. haha. small world talaga. grabe.

anyways... it was fun watching Julianne on stage. and it feels different. unlike watching Sitti or any other artist. i'm not star struck and my heart wasn't pounding in my chest like when i watched the BSB. her voice was uber ganda. sarap pakinggan. taas din vocal range niya. and she's unique. i'm so proud of her. she's like family na. even if we're not close now, we still share childhood memories. i do hope she becomes successful in the career she chose. well... if hindi naman, she can still practice Interior Design.
