Blog Entrynew obsession: (info about) Pathological Liars.Jul 31, '06 9:11 AM
for everyone

it's amazing how much i can relate to these people. i've been with one. and i thank God i'm out of it. i just had to save both of us from future chaos.

now, i understand the person more, and i pity the people around him/her. i just hope that this person's eyes would be opened and he/she must realize that what he/she is unconsciously doing is hurting the people around him/her. and giving praise to himself/herself alone.

enjoy reading! ^_^ it's really interesting how people tend to be this way.

a friend once told me of this certain syndrome, Don Juan Syndrome. it is a syndrome wherein you "become the person like your father whom you dearly hate." you hate the things that he keeps on doing so much that you could find yourself doing similar things. it sucks, i know. but there really are people who are like this. i just hope they realize it one day, and try to do something about it.

and also... i found this article on Pathological Liars.

interesting, huh? how the brain can do numerous things... amazing! i just hope that the people who have these syndrome/illnesses/disorders or whatever you call it, find and get treatment. because "Diagnoses such as the BPD, Attention Deficit Disorder, and anxiety disorders can trigger lying as a way of dealing with stress. This is particularly true if lying was the learned behavior as a child... The bottom line, however, is that the individual has to make the decision that lying is not a smart approach. It's important to recognize that their lies could come back and hurt you. It's important to prevent that!" (Source: http://www.biologicalunhappiness.com/AskDoc/Do4Liars.htm)
