who knew that sitting all day was as tiring as doing physical work all day?
grabe! aside from it's boring and making me sleepy, my body's tired. as well as my brain, for not functioning all day. but i did make a sale today. i made a booboo on pricing. nawala yung commission ko! grr. haha. pero it comes with the learning process of life and work.
i'm so tired i asked if i could leave early tomorrow (6pm) and on saturday (3pm). SALE kasi sa SM kaya til 11pm ang mall hours. shucks! pano pa kaya yung mga midnight sale? kawawa naman mga sales lady.
prayers for me and the Froggy. sana hindi ako magkasakit, since my body's still adjusting to the long hours of doing nothing. sorry if i keep on saying it, but it's true. Kit was with me kanina. and kahit na magkasama na kami, nakakaantok pa rin.
i'm gonna bring Euske to work on saturday. one of the reasons why i decided to go home early. 'cause i can't really bring him there until 11pm. haha. so 5 hours lang kami don. meron naman ako kapalit eh. though it's not permanent.
we're actually looking for someone who can work on the weekends. para may days-off ako. hmm... and also looking for Sales Associates for two of the SOON TO OPEN sister companies of Gallery Frames called Cuadro Specialist. so if you know someone, tell me. thanks.^_^
my first day at work... whew! i never thought that sitting all-day and waiting for customers to come was such a tiring job. hahaha. well... i did do a little work, fixing up the shop, but still... that was only for three hours. the remaining nine hours were spent sitting, observing customers' response towards my shop (which led me to fix the stands five times! hehe. or is that me being OC?), entertaining customers who are looking for a particular frame/art, and actually having my very first framing encounter with an actual customer! an actual customer for is the one who doesn't have a background in framing. according to him, Lino, it was his first time to every have something framed. he's fond of touring the world, he brought in artworks from Egypt and Italy. the Italian Cathedral was the one he decided on framing. during the first few minutes of the sale, my hands were shaking and i was cold. but i battled to put them aside and assist my customer. the first artwork he gave me was the Egyptian Art printed in Papyrus (if i'm not mistaken). he liked the frame i picked and also the matting. good thing i spent most of my elementary days at Gallery Frames, i actually picked up a few styles and knowledge. but i still have lots and lots to learn. i love Dindo, another customer. a Filipino who resides in America. he collects model ships, and he's looking for a shop that makes display cases for his collection. he said his ship was shipped here and he wants to put it in a case so it'll last longer. he was nice, his family was with him. i really need to have a business card printed, (still waiting for the PLDT phoneline, kaya wala pa) he asked for one. he said he was gonna e-mail me the dimensions of his ship, so i could make a quotation. i haven't received an e-mail yet. =( but i do hope he does. a few inquired about frames that i didn't have. gives me ideas on what to put in my store. i love my store. it looks really good on camera. you can check out the pics at my shop's multiply. though, i think i'm allergic to it. hehe. i just get this throbbing headache when i'm there. the dust kasi... darn, asthma. frames gather dust, you see. a little cleaning should fix it. i just got the adaptor for the vacuum cleaner, i'll use it tomorrow. yey! my own shop. need to polish on my sales skills and have to plaster that inviting smile on my fast. don't forget to drop by. see yah!

okay... so I was at Quezon City Hall this morning, doing things for the Froggy (my framing business) and waiting for my name to be called... when I looked up at the television, the opening credits of Die Hard 4.0 (obviously pirated) was on. I was like "what the!?" so if you wanna watch a current movie, just drop by QC Hall's Electrical Division at the 8th floor for FREE viewing.
the movie was halfway done and my name still wasn't called. Kit, my Honey, was getting cranky due to hunger, so i asked the Person By The Window for a follow-up. turns out, my paper could not be found so i had to file another application so they can compute for the amount to pay. the Person By The Window kept asking who was it that i gave my paper to, i told him the person was nowhere in sight. he also asked me how many lights i was gonna use in my shop. i didn't know so i had to call my mom to ask, the Person By The Window looked at me like i was stupid and was rushing me 'cause it was nearing lunch time. i waited for two freaking hours for nothing, tapos siya pa galit? haha. he then came back after two minutes and asked me to return at 1:30pm with the paper already paid.
we ate lunch at KFC at Matalino St. with my mom, dad and my UP Diliman enrolled brother, Adam. afterwards, we paid for the Electrical Division Fee, went back up, and they gave us the certificate. we then proceeded to the Mayor's Permit Window and inquired which requirements were still needed to be accomplished. we were directed to the Fire Clearance, there was a fee of P300. when the people there found out that i was going to open on monday, they offered to rush the papers and promised that by wednesday i would have my permit together with the business plate. the woman called it the Express. (*sigh* only in the Philippines.) i resisted, she then told me to proceed to the Fire Clearance Building to follow-up on the inspection since it says on the Business Application Form that i already have it. when we got there, another guy told me that i didn't have to wait for my Locational Clearance for me to complete the Fire Clearance requirement. all i have to do is talk to the inspector, give him a photocopy of all the papers that i have at the moment and i'm set! the inspector shook our hands and explained to us the process. i would have to pay P550 for certain chuvas and P300 for the inspection fee. meron naman daw resibo. mas okay daw ito kasi hindi ko na kailangan pumila ng pagkahaba-haba sa cashier nila. grabe na ito! at makukuha ko na raw siya by monday if nagbayad ako ngayon. kasi wala na daw yung mga pipirma (3pm na non) kaya hindi na niya mahahabol. sabi ko babalik na lang ako. pero ayaw ko na bumalik! haha. turns out, i was cleared already with the Fire thing. all i have to do is get the certificate when i show the locational clearance, i think. bayad na raw eh, sabi mom ko. tsk tsk.
oh my, oh my... i only have 5 days left as a 22-year old. what am i gonna do?! *panics* haha. just kidding.
well.. my last few days will be spent doing things for my business. i really need to get things done. i'm 4 days behind schedule. hehe. puro delays kasi, dahil sa SM at BIR. grr. hahaha.
i hate the heat. it's making my head ache. uber ache. maybe i should write this down. since it's news about me. my mom offered that i put up a sister company for our family business, Gallery Frames. so i need to get the business plan done ASAP. but i can't seem to work on it today, because of my headache. *sigh* well.. my business is gonna offer: ...ready-made frames for diplomas, certificates, 8R pictures, etc. ...empty frames of assorted sizes. ...poster mountings. ...matted posters. ...a little customized framing. ...and 3D frames.
